We are committed to supporting our community.

From our local neighborhood, to the cultural and social communities of our staff and customers, we mobilize our time, energy, funds, and platform in pursuit of a more equitable city. our current partnership.

We’re thrilled to announce a brand new partnership with Jean Appolon Expressions!

From April through June, Lamplighter and Jean Appolon Expressions (JAE) will work together in support of JAE’s work: to foster the joy of movement in people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds to contribute to a socially just world. Jean Appolon Expressions is a contemporary dance company deeply rooted in Haitian-folkloric culture that celebrates, nurtures, and empowers a global community. They accomplish this through professional performances, local classes, and free dance education programs.

Together, Lamplighter and JAE will produce a collaboration beer inspired by Haitian flavors and food traditions called “Jenjanm,” an Ale with Ginger and Passion Fruit. This beer’s beautiful can art was created by JAE community member and artist, IJ Chan. Throughout our partnership this spring, we’ll host lively community events, all of which will directly benefit JAE and help them to fund their free Summer Dance programs. Stay tuned to our social media channels for all the details!
