What's On Tap - June 20, 2017
Hello! Alex here. Check out what’s on tap at the brewery this week:
Bottled Up: We’ve been fortunate to can so many beers through Iron Heart Canning over the past few months, but we’ve also wanted to package things from the wild side of our catalog. Unfortunately, Iron Heart isn’t able to can beers with Brett (short for Brettanomyces) in them, so we decided to purchase our own bottling line and make it happen!
Starting this Friday, June 23, look out for bottles of our Brett-fermented and barrel-aged beers at the taproom. First up is Éponine, a Belgian blond ale aged in oak barrels with Brett. This beer is fruity and oaky, with a touch of funk and tartness to it. It will be available in 500mL bottles at 5 p.m. this Friday, with more bottled beers to follow.
Roll Call: Our fridge is stocked full of stuff this week! Bottles of Astral Weeks have made a return, and we have a number of beers available in cans:
Birds Of A Feather (New England-style IPA w/ Mosaic and Columbus)
Chief Hopper (hoppy saison w/ Azacca and Hallertau Blanc)
Cuppa (British pale ale w/ cold brew coffee from Longfellows)
Pressure Drop (hoppy pale ale w/ Citra and Hull Melon)
So Much For Subtlety (rotating double IPA w/ Mosaic)
Growler options this week are the same as last: Werewolves, Watchman, Ele, and Group Theory. For a full list of what’s on tap, peep the Beer page.
Trivia Tuesdays: Name one event that takes place every Tuesday night at the taproom, from 8-10 p.m., and could win you gift cards and free beer? Hint: just kidding, no hints.
Cheesy Wednesdays: Cheese night is on at the taproom per usual, from 5-9 p.m.! $15 gets you a custom board of cheeses sourced from Formaggio Kitchen, paired with a few snacks and sauces.
Poke Pop-Up: Manoa Poke Shop is back in the house this Thursday, from 6-9 p.m., to serve up some Pacific Island grub!
Wicked Twisted Pretzels: Still hot ‘n’ fresh every Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday.
We’re canning two IPAs for y’all early next week, which is just nonsense. And one of those beers is especially hoppy. You could say we’re pink with excitement.
